The monks were so nice to me when I came. I was going to sleep in my car overnight since I didn't make a reservation, but they let me have a room in the monastery because the guest house was full. Will never forget that visit. The first snow fall in winter during my visit in March, the serenity and the hospitality of the monks made it unforgettable.

I go every year to reset... it's a marvelous place of peace and beauty where you can hear God and rest.

Visiting is fine, but I do not recommend starting fora retreat. The lady who checks you in and serves meals is rude and does not observe silence in the silent areas. They do not tell you when meals are offered, and the food is only kept out for about 10 minutes at meal times, so good luck eating. And good luck sleeping too. They have loud bells ringing through the campus every half hour starting at 5:45 am.

A great place to pray and relax. Our school group went here for a retreat recently, and it is gorgeous! Don't forget to buy some of the monk's hand-made fudge.

Silence spoke here. Space for God alone.
